Double Award-Winning International Autojumble at Beaulieu – September 1st & 2nd

Beaulieu’s International Autojumble which has won two top awards for tourism excellence will return for a two-day celebration of classic motoring on September 1st and 2nd.

Beaulieu’s oldest and biggest event recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, with the landmark show winning gold in Tourism South East’s Beautiful South Awards as the region’s Tourism Event/ Festival of the Year and the UK Heritage Awards’ Best Event/ Exhibition.

This year’s International Autojumble will bring the same petrol-fuelled enjoyment that has been a highlight of the class-leading show since its creation in 1967. More than 2,000 stands will be packed with classic car spares, motoring books and automobilia at the biggest autojumble this side of the Atlantic.

The unmissable date on the classic car calendar is the perfect time to see an impressive selection of classic vehicles for sale in Automart. Whether it is a pristine machine that is ready to enjoy or a challenging restoration project, inspect the line-up of around 200 classic cars. Dealermart will also feature a selection of top condition classics offered by traders.

The greatly anticipated sale of collectors’ cars, motorcycles and automobilia by auction house Bonhams will return on Saturday September 1st, as desirable and rare historic machines go under the hammer. Admission to the sale room is by pre-booked catalogue only. To register in advance see www.bonhams.com/auctions/24877/.

A Sunday highlight is Trunk Traders, as amateur sellers offer assorted motoring jumble from their garages, sheds and lofts.

Head over to the stand of media sponsor Practical Classics to meet the team and chat about restoration skills and their latest vehicle projects.

One-day and two-day visitor tickets are available, together with a limited number of premium tickets which give early entry to the showground an hour before the event opens to the public, plus priority parking. Tickets are available in advance online. For tickets or more details see www.beaulieu.co.uk/events or call 01590 612888.

Tickets include entry to the Beaulieu attraction, including the National Motor Museum with its collection of more than 250 vehicles and new displays The Art of Kustom and The Luxury of Motoring, plus World of Top GearOn Screen Cars, the ancestral Montagu home of Palace House, 13th century Beaulieu Abbey and the grounds and gardens.

Admission to the museum and Brabazon Restaurant is from 8.30am on both days, while the main event opens from 10am – 5pm on Saturday and 9.30am – 4.30pm on Sunday. A free shuttle bus will run between the car parks and Beaulieu’s Visitor Reception during the show, while a delivery service will help autojumblers take their heavy or bulky purchases back to their cars.
