The former Housekeeper’s Room is home to a permanent display dedicated to Lord Harewood’s mother, HRH Princess Mary who lived at Harewood from 1930 until her death in 1965.

Harewood’s lakeside Bird Garden is home to over 90 rare and exotic species, including penguins, owls, flamingos, parrots, pheasants and cranes as well as participating in various captive breeding programmes for birds endangered in the wild.

The Courtyard Café & Restaurant is the place to go for rest and refreshment. On the south side of the House, the re-furbished Terrace Café is our luxury tea room with a view.
There are two shops at Harewood: the Courtyard Shop has quality gifts, locally sourced produce and Harewood’s famous fudge while the Toy Shop has something for the child in everyone.
