Holkham Hall has something for every member of the family this Easter bank holiday weekend (Good Friday 3rd April - Easter Monday 6th April). Enter the Hall for a traditional taste of Easter before exploring the beautiful grounds of the estate where Easter themed trails and activities will entertain and inspire.
To celebrate Easter a magical indoor garden has been designed in the hall to welcome in the first few weeks of Spring. Whilst in the Old Kitchen, younger visitors are invited to test out their culinary skills with the Kiddy Cook team, where children of all ages will have great fun decorating biscuits with colourful Easter designs and get to take away their tasty treat too.
Outside in the walled gardens budding designers are invited to help create a visually stunning trail using tiles individually designed with themed motifs and verse. This interactive art workshop is suitable for all ages and is a great chance to show off the whole family’s creative side while forming a striking display in the walled gardens.
Holkham’s face painting expert is on hand to transform younger visitors into Easter bunnies or chicks, while a storyteller will captivate the imagination. All visitors are welcome at the enchanted yurt where different cultures and stories are brought to life through music and tale-telling in this unique and wonderful atmosphere.
For those full of energy there is a giant Easter ‘eggs-ercise challenge’, while for those more interested in exercising the mind, the ‘scrambled egg’ challenge ‘blooming marvellous’ flower puzzles and a search to find the missing Easter chicks will appeal.
