CRACK THE GOLDEN EGG HUNT AT BEAULIEU THIS EASTER: GOOD FRIDAY MARCH 30TH – MONDAY APRIL 2ND

Join the Golden egg hunt at Beaulieu this Easter weekend, from Good Friday March 30th to Monday April 2nd, and crack the cipher code for a chance to win a New Forest luxury hotel stay.

Celebrate the start of spring by heading off across the parkland of the National Motor Museum and Palace House in search of golden egg-shaped clues, which each contain a secret coded symbol. Keep your eyes peeled amongst the fresh green shoots as you note down the symbols, then use the Beaulieu cipher to de-code a special Easter word. To be entered in the prize draw, simply hand in your answer at Visitor Reception at the end of your visit.

The Golden egg hunt is part of Nature Detective-themed family activities at Beaulieu this Easter (March 30th – April 15th). Pick up a trail bag and go hunting for natural treasures on a bird-themed treasure trail around the attraction.

Spot the Nature Detective as he drives around the attraction in his Willys Jeep, get your face painted like a bird and join in with bird making and colouring crafts. You can also make dough bird shapes with Lord Montagu’s cook in Palace House and find the bird-named vehicles in the National Motor Museum. Or visit the brand new Abbot’s Mews falconry display, where you might be lucky enough to meet Lord Montagu’s first falconer in centuries at his new base in the grounds of 13th century Beaulieu Abbey.

The lucky winner of the Golden egg hunt is in for a treat, with an indulgent overnight stay for two at the Master Builder’s hotel on the picturesque banks of the Beaulieu River. The prize can be taken on a date to be arranged and includes a seasonal dinner in the hotel’s award-winning Riverview restaurant, rounded off with an overnight stay in one of their new Posh Classic rooms.

In the morning, wake up to a hearty New Forest Breakfast, with views across the beautiful Beaulieu River, then take a saunter around the historic shipbuilding village of Buckler’s Hard on your doorstep before enjoying a complimentary return visit to the Beaulieu attraction. The Master Builder’s is part of the Hillbrooke Hotels group, which operates luxury hotels and pubs with rooms in or near stately homes and estates across England, each with its own distinct style. For more details see www.themasterbuilders.co.uk.

The prizes don’t end there. Four runners-up will each receive a pair of tickets to the Beaulieu Fireworks Spectacular with its Back to the Eighties theme on October 27th. See news of the winners at www.beaulieu.co.uk later in the Easter holidays, while the winners will be contacted directly.

The Golden egg hunt and all of the Easter activities are included in the general admission entrance ticket to Beaulieu, which includes entry to the National Motor Museum with its collection of more than 250 vehicles and new display The Luxury of Motoring, new-look World of Top GearOn Screen Cars, ancestral Montagu family home of Palace House, 13th century Beaulieu Abbey and the stunning grounds and gardens. Tickets can be bought in advance online. For tickets or more information see www.beaulieu.co.uk or call 01590 612345.
