Googlebox Couple to Open Beaulieu Village Fete – Saturday July 21st

Dominic and Stephanie Parker, better known as Steph and Dom from Gogglebox, are to open this year’s Beaulieu Village Fete on Saturday July 21st.

The couple have become household names for their witty comments in the C4 show, which they filmed from their guesthouse sofa. C4 later gave them their own series, Steph and Dom’s One to Five Star in which they help to give small hotels a makeover.

Lord Montagu will welcome the celebrity guests for the opening of the fete at 1.30pm on the lawns of Palace House at Beaulieu.

Fete-goers are invited to dress up for this year’s Nursery Rhymes theme. Entertainment includes the popular dog show, maypole dancing by the children of Beaulieu School and music by the Beaulieu Band. There will also be performances by Dancewise Studios in Hythe and Waterside Square Dance Club.

There will be a grand prize draw with big prizes, a tombola and stalls selling homemade cakes, produce, bric-a-brac and books.

The tea tent will be run by Lady Montagu and there will be a BBQ and Pimms tent. Strawberries and cream plus ice cream will also be served.

Proceeds will be shared between the Abbey Church and the Beaulieu Common Good Trust, which supports local organisations.
